MANDATORY RECYCLING REGULATIONS
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2009
COLLECTIONS FROM REAR YARDS ON:
ALTERNATE WEDNESDAYS

ALL ITEMS MUST BE PLACED IN YELLOW RECYCLABLES-ONLY CONTAINER

ANY RECYCLABLES PLACED OUTSIDE THE YELLOW RECYCLABLES-ONLY CONTAINER MUST BE PLACED IN CLEAR PLASTIC BAGS

ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS BOTTLES, JARS OR CONTAINERS SHOULD BE PLACED IN YELLOW RECYCLABLES CONTAINERS

RECYCLABLES WILL NOT BE COLLECTED IF MIXED WITH GARBAGE

MATERIALS TO BE RECYCLED:

ALUMINUM AND METAL CONTAINERS: All cans, aluminum foil and pans must be placed in the YELLOW RECYCLABLES-ONLY container.
PLASTIC BOTTLES AND CONTAINERS: All acceptable plastic materials go into the YELLOW RECYCLABLES-ONLY container. All plastic containers with a recycling triangle on the bottom are acceptable.
NEWSPAPERS/CARDBOARD: Tie flat corrugated cardboard and newspapers together and place in the YELLOW RECYCLABLES-ONLY container. Also place all white paper, regular mail, cardboard, magazines and paper grocery bags in the YELLOW RECYCLABLES-ONLY container.
NOT ACCEPTABLE:
aerosol cans paint cans heavily-soiled containers motor oil plastic cans Styrofoam items	plastic-coated paper carbon paper blueprints window envelopes adhesive-backed notepaper	pizza boxes cereal boxes telephone books soft covered books hard covered books
