The Board of Commissioners, management and staff of Sanitary District No. 1, are committed to recycling and educating students about the environmental benefits of recycling. For this reason, the District will be expanding its school recycling education efforts during the 2008 – 2009 school year. All schools in the District are invited to participate in the Sanitary District No.1 Recycling Challenge. The program will be a friendly competition to see which school can recycle the most materials during the school year. Detail about this program and the schools participating will be posted shortly.
